Labour Minister Simon Bridges announced that the minimum wage is to rise from $13.50 to $13.75. The training and new entrants’ minimum wages will therefore increase from $10.80 to $11.00, being 80% of the adult minimum wage. The new minimum wage rates will come into effect on 1st April 2013.
